Jellybean | Mr D | Mrs D – Disinfectant cleaner
Our hospital grade disinfectant cleaners come in three lasting scents, Jellybean (lavender), Mr D (citrus) and Mrs D (spice). Our disinfectants are designed to be used in washrooms, toilets, urinals, change rooms, showers, baths, sinks, drains, rubbish disposal areas, or anywhere germs and bacteria may be present.
All our disinfectants meet WA Health Department guidelines, even before the COVID-19 pandemic. For our Perth office clients that require an extra deep COVID clean, we also sanitise all high touch-point areas, including light switches and door handles.
Our disinfectant cleaners contain Quaternary Ammonium Compounds and Nonionic Surfactants as active ingredients. Quaternary Ammonium Compounds, also known as quats, can travel though the cell walls and membranes of viruses and bacteria, effectively destroying them. Nonionic Surfactants are a powerful cleaner, that is able emulsify oils and remove of organic soils.
Thunderbox 2 – Multi-purpose detergent
Thunderbox 2 is an acidic detergent PetraClean uses in bathroom and toilets. It has been specially formulated for removal of lime scale, rust, organic deposits, uric acid and encrustations onporcelain, vitreous enamel, ceramics, urinals, shower recesses and washroom fittings. As such, PetraClean predominately uses Thunderbox 2 in Perth office bathrooms.
The active ingredient of Thunderbox 2 is Sulphuric Acid, a colourless, oily liquid that is soluble (dissolvable) in water. Sulphuric Acid is a corrosive substance, which means it effectively eats away stains and calcium deposits commonly found in bathrooms.
Although Sulphuric Acid is a powerful chemical, it is perfectly safe to use in diluted quantities. In fact, Sulphuric Acid is widely used throughout the cosmetic industry, including in products like shampoo, mascara, eyeliner and hair serums, as well as laundry detergents, hand soap, dishwashing liquid and pet products.
Hibrite – Crème cleanser
Hibrite is a pale green liquid crème designed to deep clean and polish hard surfaces without scratching. Consistent use of Hibrite helps to repel both grease and water, effectively protecting the surface from dirt, grime and damage, and makes future cleans easier. At PetraClean, we use Hibrite in office bathrooms and kitchens.
Hibrite’s two active ingredients are Ammonium Hydroxide and Calcium Carbonate. Diluted Ammonia, Ammonium Hydroxide is highly basic (or alkaline), making it effective at killing germs and bacteria, and is a great sanitiser. Calcium Carbonate is one of the softest available abrasives, allowing Hibrite to clean surfaces without scratching.
Glaze – Window glass cleaner
Glaze is a streak free, powerful liquid window and glass cleaner. Glaze can also be used effectively on laminate, chrome, stainless steel, mirrors and tiles.
Glaze contains Ethanol and Ammonium Hydroxide as its active ingredients. Ethanol, also known as Ethyl Alcohol, remove smears, smoke, fog, oil, grease, and fats common to mirrors and windows, and due to its fast evaporate properties, leaves surfaces streak free. As mentioned above, Ammonium Hydroxide is strong base that effectively kills germs and bacteria, making it a great sanitiser.
Hanasan – Antibacterial hand gel
Hanasan is an alcohol-based antibacterial hand gel that kills germs on contact. Waterless and rinse free, Hanasan contains a natural moisturiser to limit damage to skin. Hanasan’s active ingredient is Ethanol, which kills germs and dries in seconds.
